The best part about Kagi is you can set it to redirect reddit links to old.reddit.com to avoid the enshittification

Looks interesting, but in order to actually compete with any e-signing platform you'll at the very least need to have templates with pre-filled information, an API to autofill docs with required information, and more field types. Right

Probably doesn't cost much at all to run some servers to spin up javascript functions, compared to their massive storage costs. It's at best a fraction of a percent of total costs. Whether or not they (or discord for that matter)

Just had to look this up, impressive specs for a Subaru. They've had some pretty lackluster EVs in the past (along with Toyota), but this one actually seems like a good combination of range and performance (375hp equivalent and 281 mil

I absolutely can't stand the suspension on Teslas, some of the worst ride quality of any modern vehicle.

They used to, before they got bought out by private equity and started jacking up the rates. Moved all my domains to porkbun since then. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=45243123

This is awesome, I use telegram as my main chat app with all of my friends and coworkers. Now I need to figure out how to dockerize this and run it on my NAS so it's not reliant on my laptop being online. Maybe can figure out a workflo

Highly recommend setting up your own photo hosting and backup. People love Immich, but ente.io is also great! Much better than trusting your photos to a single microSD card which may die at any moment.

Seems like it actually loads a PNG image now, maybe the npm script adds some additional headers to trigger the payload.

This actually isn't the case anymore, plenty of non-US airlines allow beards and the new masks still provide perfect oxygen flow. It's more of a "professional image" thing in the US.

Yes, and my point is that the (supposedly) real human is also AI. You're chatting with a bot.

Yeah I think it's something like a 20+ year lifespan, I doubt I'll even be living in the same house in 20 years.

If you don't think that OF models are using AI to reply to incoming chats from users, well I've got a bridge to sell ya.

Wow, very angry and uninformed comment. No airplane owners are lobbying for lead. As a pilot with a personal airplane that runs on avgas, we all want lead to go away too. But it's a problem with FAA regulations, and an infrastructure p

I recently switched to a OnePlus 15 and Nova Launcher had a really annoying 0.5-1 second delay every time you went back home. I've been a paid Nova user and used it on every android device for the past 10 years or so. I ended up migrat

Some cars do this. Audi and Porsche (if I recall correctly) use the disc brakes for the first couple stops each drive to knock off the rust if there's any build up. I think I remember reading that Ford uses the real brakes if you'

Definitely, hard to compete with YouTube as a revenue source. That being said, my instance is mainly for digitizing and hosting old VHS tapes from my family so they don't get lost over the years. No need for advertising there :)

I host a simpler youtube alternative based on https://www.mediacms.io/ It's not a perfect platform, but generally does well enough from my home server and a gigabit fiber connection.
