So I get huge speeds, virtually no i/o wait and when I delete something I can be sure it's gone forever? The only problem left to solve is huge capacities for these devices at relatively affordable prices.

It's wrong to assume that Comcast does not send a lot of upstream traffic. They actually sell IP transit at relatively small prices.

I believe this is more related to some of the peering relationships Google currently has. While it was a good idea to peer with Google in the past to benefit your customers, right now they are probably upset that their free peering arrangem

Perhaps they could try making it more personal by changing it to "Talk to someone about this, call 1-800-273-8255" or something similar. Near some bridges there are signs that say "There is hope, make the call".
