The backups are also something that would differ greatly, along with metrics that rely on internal APIs which AWS may not provide access to. Like other AWS products (RDS, Elasticache), there’s limitations since they provide protocol interop

Reselling AWS's offerings would cost more than running it on bare VM's, I'm sure they would be able to compete on price with them. It also doesn't make sense to rewrite their current software which is probably abstracted

You don’t even need the S3 Bucket... Cloudflare will work as a transparent proxy and will cache all static assets.

The most annoying thing is the mouse lag and higher resource utilization compared to i3. Aside from that, it's great though. I used it for a month before going back to i3, you've really put a good amount of work into the project.

I've tried Alpine Linux on both docker and LXD. Memory usage is the same, however startup time is much better on LXD. If you Google it, they have a benchmark that shows hundreds of containers being launched on Docker and LXD as a bench

Yup. I disable JavaScript and cookies. I also use extensions to enable them on certain sites. Just tap the extension icon and it will reload with JS enabled. You'd be surprised how fast webpages load without JS
