Launched http://www.TrickedOutTimeline.com on HN in february (see http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3522255 ) and have made ~$2500 on around $100 costs from advertising and hosting on google app engine. Nothing huge, but good for a wee

Looking forward to it! Not sure for your subject, as I am computer vision guy. In fact, I work on large scale image recognition and there is something about this which I love...there's a lot of potential for image analysis here.

Very nice paper. I am actually working on a project in a similar space using very similar techniques, though emphasis is on speed of matching and retrieval as well as matching the objects in the image rather than the image as a whole. Littl

I'm on the same page as you. I agree in general with his points but point 4 is off the mark, as you can't predict someone else's cash flow needs. If they are on a salary then you better pay them on time!

The author is a very outspoken guy, perhaps just for the sake of it. He's the founder of Vice magazine and is known for his unpolitical correctness. I still think he has a good point (speaking as a Generation Why youth)
