with so many startups and hackers in the room- Setting aside 10 slots of 30 seconds (or min) each to pitch to the room on what they are working on may help people connect and find like minded people? kind of like show and tell..

As a web developer php type guy.. Things i have done to get work- Network- attend tech conferences and talk to people Blog about your area of interest I ran google adwords on specific key terms, this helped to get a decent bulk of work with

Edinburgh is the place to be, although i live northern ireland- having been over for the recent fringe and talked to some imigrant workers, they couldnt be happier. A nice apartment would run you about £550/$800 a month which is a tad dear

I have been using hsbc for business banking and haven't had a complaint. You just need to warn them when you travel or they will block your card.

my biggest gripe with mac os having recently moved from windows is hitting the maximise button on finder and it barely filling half the screen. other well documented one is the ability to turn the laptop screen of when using another screen

I think some of the docs should be better structured in terms of seo as some of the deprecated functions index higher in google than the currently supported classes/methods that's my only gripe

i was asked to be a technical reviewer on a book with apress, i felt really good about reviewing and agreed. When i received the first few chapters i realized the book would have to be re-written. The English was bad and the code was medioc
