Working on a large scale & fluid Node project at the moment and we probably see at least a dozen dependency updates a week. Never caused a problem. The community as a whole is pretty strict in it's respect for versioning convention

Agree. When I'm working on a piece of code I want the comments to fade quietly into the background. Some sort of toggle might be useful though. Finish editing your code, hit key combo, comments take centre stage, check they still make sense
