The original was "Google is getting better at what Apple does best faster than Apple is getting better at what Google does best." Truncating the sentence for the title changed the meaning to something much bolder.

The title says focusing on HTML5, the article says focusing on native apps with AIR. "ceasing development" and shifting focus are not the same thing.
