Big difference being that Twitter uses Java, Scala, etc. Twitter used to use RoR also and it went down literally every day. I'm talking 2012 or so I think, bad memory haver here.

It's not limiting you now, what you mean is that you have just hit a limit that you didn't know existed. I've worked with the twitter api and there always have been strict limits that depend on the app, account and ip address
