Absolutely. No "experienced machinist" can reasonably make this part within spec. The time and cost for a CNC / operator / programming is exorbitant and simply beyond the reach of most people. 3D printing in this context

No, it adds up. There are a lot more available workers than positions in SV. The problem is finding good people. Good people that are a fit both technically and socially. Superstars get hired. That's it-- everybody wants a superstar.

I'm not totally positive, but I think it depends on the object. You'll need to tune the arrays of speakers such that they generate some kind of 3D interference pattern that perfectly matches whatever you're trying to image. S
