Its called economies of scale. When they server 200000 ai subscriptions they dont expect everyone to use the max. They expect some will use more and some will use less and at the end of the day it will even out. Thats how every service work

I don't understand why any solo dev would use aws. Its awfully priced and 99% of people can just use a vps and that should be enough. By the time you blow up and need cloud scale you can afford it.

Do you really want to implement http, ssl and tls; all by your self, what about security hash algorithms? Re inventing the wheel means you also get to go through all the bugs and s purity issue that these open source libraries went through.

You do know a router requires a public IP to even work you cannot not have a public IP. Either the people who rite those rules have no idea about computers or you miss read something.

Highly recommend a managed service like datadog or New Relic. Or if you in the cloud like AWS you can use cloud watch. Don't use your application db to store operational data you should seperate them out.

Anyone doing serious traffic with AWS will use cloud front and then you get additional savings on-top of that and you can negotiate a better rate then provided depending on usage so some people pay way less then the advertised price.

Turn on weekly manifest to get a list of files and then you can delete based off that. Much faster and better then listing billions of files.

Not really If you running bare metal and have a San you can easily change what it is pointing to. Also most bare metal servers have redundancy and disks can be changed with 0 down time.
