I am sorry but you are wrong. Legitimate interest is so wrongly understood. You can only use it if your business is not able to function without some PI and for nothing else. For example if you are having an online store, it is perfectly ok

Actually how I see it, Google and Facebook are blatantly trying to downplay user rights under GDPR and people must be blind not to see it. I think they deserve a harsh punishment.

I dont think this will be needed, other countries are preparing similar legislation, I remember Canada and Japan. The world is changing, there is no point in running away from GDPR it is just the first one. Rather adapt and profit later due
