Eh. This is anthropics whole marketing strategy… making the AI seem hard to manage, like it’s actually intelligent.

Yes, they do. In fact, they have several competing committees to market the concepts internally through armies of PMs and TPMs and KPIs and efficiency metrics tracking. Also your AI token use of course.

“Given addresses” != adoption. Hell, I had to disable it in osx because it breaks the damn hotspot connection functionality. Wasn’t using it, it’s just there, breaking shit and being useless.

It would maybe be okay at the router to break some things, but ffs even in software I have to choose? Why do I need both ping and ping6 this is stupid!! They really screwed up by making it a breaking change to the OS and not just internet

Async in Python in general really… The way they implemented it is basically a valley of footguns and broken dreams.

It’s always Turkish lol. That was our language of choice to QA anything… if it worked on that it would pretty much work on anything.

X11 with compiz was peak Linux, now it feels like a corporate featureless wasteland run by accountants.

I agree but it doesn’t seem to be intentional on their part.

Didnt they basically can most of Alexa a few years ago? I think they realized asking a device questions doesn’t generate profit.

Or the ones that do 10+ faked “AP” classes over the summer and transfer those credits in. Not kidding.

Ungameable… lol. Take a look at Asian countries for what happens when you rely only on grades… cheating becomes the norm since numbers are all that matter.

I feel you’ve missed the point. They’re not trying to use https, they can’t, they are downloading tools that only exist online as https links from a legacy system that only supports http. They simply couldn’t download jack shit and came

Sounds like typical hyperbole. Worked at a place once where some “security researcher” trashed the product because they could do bad things on the appliance… if logged in as root.

Having interviewed many people from there, I can only assume they hire anyone with a pulse and give them major features to write in a language they don’t know.

This is why most good teachers don’t use the books but find creative ways to still meet the standards. More work though, so fewer do it now with pay being so shit.

And rightfully so, because it’s a stupid feature to not have and most people want an app not an ideology.

IIRC It’s not that light is a medium. It is that light goes that particular speed max (photons can go slower in fact) because that is the speed of causality.

To a founder, the success of the company means their own success. To a manager, success is to climb a ladder, any ladder. Their incentives are very different, and thus how they approach things will be.

There’s a 2x2 matrix you can put employees into with one side being smart/idiot and the other being lazy/industrious. There is no greater threat than the industrious idiot.
