Here is what I do, which doesn't require an app: Cancel it right away. All services I have done this with still give you the full trial period.

Blocking third-party cookies gives you full protection in this and other situations without any major annoyances. Other subcomments here mention it, but every time this comes up it seems most people (including the article) aren't aware

Why is it that most developers use Chrome when we have Firefox? If the devtools are better, use Chrome for that and use Firefox for browsing.

The simple setting, most seem to be overlooking, is don't allow third party cookies. Voila.

I don't understand all the rules at play here, but from a fairness standpoint, you shouldn't be forced to sell. That is the real problem as I see it. At least people forced to sell here got some money to kind of even things out. C

That is a terrible reason. We need more services to not depend on Facebook login, for obvious reasons.
