The traditional format will endure, but don´t you think there is ways to improve it? I would think the format is a compromise around the constraints of a teacher to student ratio and the availability of different media where whiteboard was

We are using a similar concept in production. Rendered videos for online education within programming. It is a limited usecase of course, but brings the same benefits: 1/100 bandwidth; crisp rendered text/content instead of raster
