I really like the idea, why not hack a scripting engine to add bindings to itself, e.g. in Duktape JavaScript engine. Then a JavaScript function could use the C-API of Duktape to generate AST's at runtime for itself. But I think the VM

Terra is on my radar for a long time, but the Lua syntax prevents me every time to actually use it. Basically making a simple foreach loop in Lua escalates everytime into a hour trial-and-error session.

I tend to avoid viral GPL/LGPL projects: 1) Because I wanna have the freedom to eventually sell the software based on third party libraries. 2) Even if I would want to open source parts of the project, I mostly can't open source

Source/license? ATM just slightly interested, since v8 is pretty much state-of-the-art and can be used commercially + open source.
