I somehow do really like the sound that some managed to squeeze out of that YM2149 sound chip in the ST though. It was an old low-end chip when the ST was new already, and most games do indeed sound like ass. But the people in the demoscene

I recall also getting it working around that time. I gotta admit though that being used to the very straightforward NES, SNES etc emulators Amiga emulation was pretty confusing with all the different models and kickstarts and workbenches.

Arch Linux added php-legacy and php-fpm-legacy, which tracks (I think) the oldest supported PHP release, a couple of years ago. After I switched to that it's been pretty smooth sailing.

I definitely have to right click on the window in the taskbar and select Always Keep On Top with Firefox on Plasma Wayland. Not too big a deal but would be nice if it was something Firefox could just set on its own.

qimgv uses libmpv for video playback support for example. I'm guessing that's not what you mean, but I'm struggling to think of how one might "embed" one application inside of another on xorg.

That already works with Plasma Wayland. It's still a bit finicky to make it work with things running in XWayland (Windows games primarily) but it's getting better.

You can still have that in KDE Plasma to this day. I have the wobbly windows enabled because they're neat.

Not that you shouldn't put a picoboot or whatever in there anyway, but it's getting increasingly common for the caps on the drive board to fail at this point, causing the disc drive to fail.

Technically PS5 and I think Switch 2 is based on the BSD kernel probably because of the license. Xbox is not exactly Windows but it's using an NT kernel.

It means that at the very least the Nvidia specific performance loss of 10-20% will disappear. That is already not an issue with AMD cards as I understand it. If it'll further increase performance beyond that remains to be seen. I susp
