Any idea where I can get a full sequencing at a reasonable price for personal use?

I don't mind paying more, but what is the way to get exome sequencing in the States today? There are some Australian companies using Illumina equipment and offering it for about $1,500, but is this possible in the States as well?

Pretty much, yes. It has an API as well. You have to accept the root certificate of the authority you create in the browser and then you don't have do accept all self-signed certificates based on it. It's aiming to ease developmen

Well, a new limit of, let's say, 500 characters will make a huge difference! Still short form, yet, not need to be abbreviating and using broken English, skip punctuation, etc. just to fit into the artificial 140 limit!

I know. I've discussed this with the author, there are some IP issues he's trying to resolve. Outside of this obstacle, his desire is to open-source it.

Yup! I don't use Twitter, because I'm tired of abbreviating. I've heard all the made-up motives from people both inside and outside of the company but for many years already nobody has been using Twitter via SMS! Also, for ye

Yes, I know who he is. Although I had a much older account, which password I couldn't recover, because it's from the days when no email was necessary here, I frequent HN for years and that's why I care about this community as

I don't exercise and I'm fine although genetically I have 30% higher risk of obesity, so, just don't eat more than you have to and find pleasures in creation and discovery, in socializing, not in eating!

I am sure that you cannot back with any credible evidence the assumption than downvoting comments makes HN a better place. You can add flagging and that will do better, but downvoting is unhealthy. The fixed -4 threshold is random and wrong

Then do the right thing and solve the problem by removing downvote on comments - you will do this community a huge favor and you will simplify the UX as well. It has no purpose outside of emotional buildups. Upvotes give you enough for sort

Like/dislike is not structured feedback. The most awkward situation is when people "like" some tragic article. In this case, Reddit and HN do better - you up/down vote, you don't "like". Instead, they shou

Most are just suggestions, not law. I stand by what I said. Being vindictive is not civilized. I didn't make personal attacks - I have no idea who downvoted me.
