and when you need something between 1.25 and 1.5 available from UI, you can always do: document.getElementsByTagName('video')[0].playbackRate = 1.35

just enable html5 player and you can choose 1.5 on youtube. Or, if it too fast (depending on the speaker), just do: document.getElementsByTagName('video')[0].playbackRate = 1.3
