I've also found the OpenAI image models to lose fine detail on image edits compared to Nano Banana or Flux models which faithfully retain input source image geometry and details. I was hoping this might be different but it sounds simil

I'm sure tons of companies have retainer spends with IBM for software, hardware, consulting, etc., and this is another way for their corporate clients to spend down / increase their retainers faster

Agree, Costco succeeds at externalizing last mile costs by offloading it to suburbanites who view it as a sunk cost. Similar to uber/lyft drivers doing their own fleet management.

Thanks, that's a much better example of what I was trying to explain. Again, I'm projecting humanity onto a machine, but it's not a big stretch to imagine that the interaction of attention heads over high-dimensional vectors

I work on a platform 3dstreet.com that does “underdrawing” but in 3d space which image models also struggle with. Another company intangible.ai does this as well: low poly 3d then image to image model. It seems to be a very effective patter
