    I've had this page bookmarked for years now, so major kudos to the author. 5 years on, it's still the best of explanation of all the different USB-C modes. I would love to see an updated version to include Thunderbolt 4 and USB4.

    I'm a strong supporter for all that USB-C can offer, but making it mandatory feels like a terrible idea. What if we did this to firewire back in the 2000s? Would all phones still be shipping with a now outdated and too large plug in 20

    The indexDB fiasco is a good example of negative developer sentiment towards Safari. Firefox shipped support in 2011, with Chrome following suite a year later. It's mid 2021, and the Safari implementation is still critically broken. ED

    Honestly kudos to the team, I was expecting much worse. I can't imagine having some JS I wrote in the early 2000's on the front page of hacker news for the world to see.

    I'm with you on these points. After 6 years in San Francisco (Engineer), my wife and I both took new opportunities and moved to London. It's been 3 years, and we're still enjoying it.
