As a developer of local applications, I take issue with the notion that apps should be free simply because they don't incur server costs. This argument overlooks several crucial aspects of software development: Development costs: The b

Amazing project. Would consider buying one, if you sent to Germany. Did you consider writing your app using the Web Serial API? If you did, why did you decide to go the native route?

Depends on what you consider minimal, but I enjoy working with PocketBase and VanJS[1]. However there is no component library built in (if this is what you were asking for). [1]: https://vanjs.org/

Amazing. I was looking for something like this about a year ago. Looks very promising and may be a good drop in replacement for some simple Auth0 use-cases as well as homelab setups. I was not able to get past „ redirect_uri must be on the

I always recommend https://qrmenucreator.com/ to restaurant owners. I feel it is simple enough for them to get started, gives features like instant changes and comes with a sane default layout/ui and is free of charge.

That's the reason I come to HN every day. Thanks for the explanation, which probably could not be more compact.

If you just need the display: AliExpress. If you want to drive it, I would recommend EPDIY ( https://github.com/vroland/epdiy ).

Congrats. That works really well. Now just let me pay a small tip for every image I want to download in full resolution so you can cover your bills. Results were ahead of those produced by remove.bg.

In times of IoT I do not get why they do not offer a version with Bluetooth and WiFi. However a nice product that may be able to push the whole microcontroller hobby space forward.

Besides Hetzner, I can also highly recommend netcup.eu, especially for hobby projects. Their prices are even lower and include more data volume. Their interface is not as nice as Hetzner or Digitalocean, but I am fine with that. https:
