Nailed it. Traveling is amazing, but it certainly loses its luster after a while. I must say we're extremely fortunate to have been able to even make it to this point though.

I've lived in both Chile and Vietnam, and Chile is light years ahead of Vietnam in every respect. I love Vietnam, but it has a long way to go before it reaches the standard of living of most South American nations

I know amazing engineers without CS degrees, and bad engineers with them. It's certainly nice to have one, but it's hardly a prerequisite for becoming a good engineer.
