the money spot for you would be to a finance programmer. C++ FTW. If you can code up a black sholes ( i know its antiquated, but its good practice) or any kind of financial model, you will get hired. Maybe you don't want to work in finance.

A working demo of something you have built and maintained. Seriously. Build something, anything. Put it out there... and polish it. Make it better. Keep iterating. Use it as a vehicle to show your drive/passion/intellect- all the qualities

this chart does not empirically prove this. It only proves that less people are trafficking in these jobs through Indeed. These kinds of jobs are increasingly being found through other channels.
