The sounds are real, for example someone will ring the doorbell while I’m about to fall asleep, I'll both hear and “see” the sound. I do get explosion head syndrome as well, but that is rare in my case.

I noticed some strange behavior when I was setting it up to avoid providers that collect data, hence blocking default providers. Definitely it is worth filtering well tested providers, which is a feature OpenRouter provides.

I used to have them as a kid, even long stretches that prevented me from sleeping. I don’t remember having hiccups in the last 15 years. It just stopped happening at some point.

It’s just the context. I grew up in a different culture and we all hated being forced to read at school, just different books. I enjoyed reading Animal Farm but it was something I picked up by myself, and read on my own terms.

I suggest comparing the search results with other providers for your own usage, I’m not convinced myself that even at 5-10 USD it would be worth it, and I was doing the comparisons using the better models on Perplexity.
