You actually do. Getting a dog or having nephews isn't close to the same thing. It's kind of like balance. You can read all about balance in a book and watch YouTube videos but until you get on a bicycle and experience it you'

This is only partially true. We depressingly agreed to get my daughter a phone for her 8th birthday. She's the last person in her class to have one. That means when we drop her off at a birthday, she's the one playing with a fake

That can be said about any decision. You can't go back in time. So every decision is permanent. I understand that kids carry a long responsibility above just memories though.

I've thought about this and while I agree with you completely, I think the reason why is not just society at large. Externally what most people see is the time suck, money suck, and frustration with teaching behavior, fixing bad behavi

I wouldn't call it team building. I just think of it as a reminder that we are all friends that we all have families and struggles. We're all human and doing our best. It's at a casino because it's near our facility, has

We have one annually for my company. It's at a casino, with a few scheduled meals and some activities (video game room, trivia done by a professional company). It's voluntary and employees are allowed to bring their spouse. I thin

In the US, Zelle payments are accepted by most major banks and are free and instant. I'm not sure how it could be better than that. It would be nice if more smaller banks used it as well, but the US has 5k different banks.

Yes and I'll become another space industry. Cleanup. Sort of like how (coal/ocean/etc) pollution is both a problem and multi billion dollar a year industry.

They did and it used to take a lot of planning, using paper maps, getting lost etc. Just like once people didn't use electricity or vaccines or indoor plumbing. For all its minuses the internet makes these long trips 10x easier.

This is the right answer. They are building their own cell phone network to compete with major carriers worldwide.

They compared AT&T users with an iPhone (the only place you could get an iPhone) to users with other carriers. Since people using other carriers also experienced 2008, it's not that.

Population of Switzerland is around 9 million people. Slightly larger than NYC. Comparing a country with the population of a single city in America is disingenuous. There are probably some cities in America that have faster internet than Sw

Looking at a few friend's health app on their iPhone it's amazing to me to see people who walk less than 2,000 steps a day and don't go to the gym. It's shockingly normal in some places though.

That only works if the rest of the parents in your neighborhood also do it. Otherwise your kid won't be in group chats, will miss events. I live in Israel where kids are given a phone at an extremely young age (partially because of the

This is by far the best solution and should be the top comment. Why is the onus on the parents to chase after their kids - screen time is awful and kids get around it. The social media and porn sites should be penalized and the onus should

Your response is incredibly ignorant. You force your kid to be excluded if they don't have a phone. They're disconnected from friends, group chat, and common experiences. You don't have a problem with age verification for dri
