   Employee salaries are by FAR the largest expense for these companies. Office rent is nothing in comparison. Companies will make decisions based on employee productivity, which IMO, means having people in an office.

    Not true. Contractors, by law, have the ability to work when/how they want including for multiple clients. If there is something specific in the contract, it is a civil issue.
