I think it would be nice if there was documentation to explain how this works. Does it mean I can compile Java Bytecode to WASM?

That's my feeling. For me the only missing feature is WASM compilation. It's a shame that GraalVM native compilation is not targeting it.

Java is not heavy. You can use GraalVM native compilation, and it will be as light as Golang. Modern frameworks like Quarkus or Helidon are lightweight. Sure, if you are working for an old style Java shop stuck with Java 8 and JavaEE. That

That's gross average wage and it's inflated by Lisbon region that have crazy rents. One-bedroom flat costs 600/500 euros, more if it's in city center.

Portugal have a minimum wage of 550 euros/month and an average wage of 850 euros/month or something like this. You can't compare absolute price.
