What you're thinking of on the Nintendo switch is a recovery mode. Every (most?) modern systems have something like this. It's a lower level area that allows you to fix issues in the higher level areas, even when that's broke

Not OP but I've had luck with zinc and magnesium aspartate supplements commonly available on Amazon. I take two caps that each are a net about 500mg an hour before bed, along with 1mg of melatonin. Been doing this for a lot of years no
