I like that that this implementation lets you shift right/left for a split second after you let the piece fall. Not all Tetris versions I've seen do that. I'm not sure what official behavior, though.

An alternative is to use Jsonnet [0] (a JSON/YAML templating language). You can define an inheritance relationship, where your template inherits pretty much everything EXCEPT the environment variables. Or the jsonnet cli lets you spec
