What are some places in SF that are open later than 8-9pm? Coffee shops or similar venues work- I just lose some of my momentum after heading back home if I still have work to do in the evening.

Neat. I've been using http://instadj.com which has a single search engine rather than one for artists and individual songs.

You could go to the University of San Francisco - they have an Entrepreneurship program (essentially a BA with startup-related requirements). The great thing is that you'll be a short bus ride from a ton of startup stuff if you're willing t

As a large number of 2+2'ers use the same username/password combo for real money poker sites, this is a fairly big deal. A few years ago it seemed like a ton of the high stakes guys' AIM screen names were being hacked, in order to solicit l

A common maxim I've heard involving bootstrapped startups is that if you don't have the cash to get things done conventionally, you'll be more creative in solving problems that money would've been able to. So when it comes to governmental p

I'd imagine that many HN readers intend to use money from an exit to fund their life after "retirement".

I'm building http://moodstir.com and http://kothpoker.com . If the idea's shortcomings weren't the reason I was rejected, it was likely because I'm currently a solo founder. It seems like there are a lot of awesome teams applying and tha

SEEKING FREELANCER - San Francisco I contracted the creation of http://moodstir.com , which is twitter for emotion. I'd like to add a twitter login among other things to the site. If the project seems interesting, or you want to hear more

SEEKING FREELANCER - San Francisco We are a four man online poker startup ( http://kothpoker.com ) focusing on heads up (1-on-1) play. We're looking to get into the real money market, which is beginning to become regulated in the United Sta

I took a gap year after high school, and am taking a leave of absence in the midst of my junior year in college- both experiences have taught me more about the world and myself than my time formal education ever has. I'd recommend the year
