Might I also recommend akismet which is quite good at filtering spam and is very simple to setup. Also, just disallow more than a couple links from anonymous comments.

That's true. I bought a 128 meg box for 2.25 from another provider. I run my primary postfix server on it, and prgmr runs a backup postfix server among other stuff. Anyway, 6 months in my cheaper box is mysteriously reset, postfix config go

Batteries die whether you use them or not. Modern laptop batteries don't really need any special care or cycling. I say just use and enjoy your laptop and stop worrying about the battery. When it dies, it dies, and you can go buy a new one

I use feed on feeds: http://feedonfeeds.com/ Open source and works wonderfully well. Also, easy to mod. I put in a Pinboard.in sharing link for all my articles, and you can do the same with just about any service in a few minutes with PHP
