I believe the line markings is for water when you cook rice. You add 9 cups of rice (perhaps with the plastic cup that comes in the box), then fill it up to the 9 cup line with water. Once cooked, this will produce perfectly cooked rice.

Have a look at the ACT's QR code check-in system. It's a simple 8 digit (I think) number that needs to be scanned with the ACT's check in app. What I would love is poster sized QR codes instead of a small patch of an A4 page.

You should invest in some surge protectors, the fuses are cheap and simple to replace. Use them on any high-value items you wouldn't want to replace.
