Have to agree with this - context is everything and there are an awful lot of naive comments here who don’t understand that XML-RPC was a breath of fresh air compared to SOAP, especially if like me you were using the LAMP stack and PHP. SOA

As an Apple customer the review system is working very well for me. No malicious apps have got through the process and onto my phone yet. In that sense, its worth it to me.

I think you are making an extremely valid point; i often see the same “think of the children” argument made when discussing advertising and the web. Likewise, no one is saying websites shouldn’t have an income.

I disagree - I think the importance of the distinction is that familiar interfaces work better than new, novel interfaces that supposedly tap into some deeper human psycology. for example, using the scrollbars in the browser chrome provided
