Agreed. I'll always prefer an Alamo or Cinepolis, but I've actually been extremely impressed every time I end up up at non-boutique movie theater. AMC has upgraded their seats at a lot of locations now (to super comfortable reclin

I always figured buying that NFT was sort of a way to just donate to one of Jack's charities. I hope the buyer wasn't trying to make a long term investment with it.

Yeah, I just leave my helmet on the bike (on the handlebars, not attached). It's not a high value item to steal. Someone took my front tire once but left my helmet.

I'm trying to think of what useful evidence that law enforcement can get out of an infotainment system. Guilty of listening to too many Brittney Spears tracks?

I can't actually imagine watching NFL without using Twitter during commercials (or after something crazy happens). It's actually quite spectacular World Cup is definitely going to surge traffic

I love Postgres.app on mac, makes running locally a breeze. Running Postgres fast on the cloud is what I always struggled with (without paying enormous sums)

I paid for Raindrop for years, really loved it. But it got extremely buggy (forced me to relogin constantly). I'd open Raindrop, it would completely reset my auth info, and then close it because it's not worth the hassle of loggin

Seems like most (if not all) of the top tech companies are also on hiring freezes.

I think it could only possibly work if "subscriptions" were not directly to twitter, but to other twitter subscribers. Premium follows to content creators, charities, individual journalists, or politicians. Where you get some &quo

Sorry to hear about your losses. Can I ask, what was the reason you favored FTX for crypto investment?

Looks super useful, and brings me back to the days of installing phpMyAdmin on all my servers Browsing through the docs, is there some kind of authentication that could be done in app? Would need to figure out how to keep things protected a

Why does the Twitter business model have to be porn? Twitter celebrities with big audiences could monetize with premium follows and premium content. Political campaigns could use it to raise money. Tech bloggers could use it to post premium

Great article. I hope whatever idiots at Google who made these decisions are held accountable. I was a Google Talk, Google Voice, Google Hangouts user who also felt their product negligence was going to eventually catch up with them.

Anyone currently using Remix in a production app? Read through the docs and it seems pretty interesting. Can't really get a sense for how stable it is though. I know from prior use of React Router, the maintainers love the big rewrites

What's wrong with SCSS modules? It has a lot of really useful functionality that frontend developers like me love.

The new version (written in Dart of all things) seems pretty fast. The old ruby implementation was insanely slow, and the nodesass rewrite was insanely broken. Whatever they got now though is just about perfect for me

Agreed. Every time NextJS changes out their build system for speed, its users lose out on all kinds of functionality that they were depending on before. Moving away from Babel to SWC meant we could no longer use SCSS within JSX styled compo
