Highly recommend. The first TCP/IP stack wrote was before this book and had to write off of RFCs. But man the three volume Comer books made things so much easier.

The big difference is Microsoft uses patents to get royalities out of people and use as a weapon in slowing down the industry versus helping push the industry forward. Google does not play that game. They have tons of patents and purchase
