I know two: 1. lot of smoking which is terrible for your skin. 2. life was harder and farming/factory/mining jobs were very popular, first one involve burning in the sun, second in dirt and bad air. Both hard physical work.

It’s very different. Can I open a PDF from Windows into Windows Sandbox with 2 clicks and close with 1 after reading, nearly instantaneously, without noticing the virtualization? Nope. Windows Sandbox is just a fresh VM, almost useless.

You still need some sort of a computer at home to use your cloud PC. And guess what, most people will still buy a PC once they estimate the pricing. Not worth it, world today is full of crappy ideas that don't actually work.
