This is true, AMD's GPU Linux drivers are open source and in superb shape nowadays (with the exception of freshly released stuff as there's always lag)

I've been runnning linux with AMD cpu/gpu for years, they tend to be late with initial stuff but other than that it's been a smooth sailing. That being said, it will differ from distro to distro, as some are unreadably slow

It got updated to newest Chromium version recently, the build process seems to be semi-automated now too. Isn't it open source too? Unfortunately it's a bit buggy on some of my devices. Newest FF beta got unexplained speed bost

You can actually use these apps together with obsidian, to edit the same files which I do, I use IA writer when I feel like to.

Obsidian with plugins can be a quite efficiant outliner too, it even has tree collpasing/unfolding command built in

Unfortunately Obsidian cannot replace apps like Agenda or noteplan for me, because it doesn't sync with external calendars. I still use it for most stuff though.

They remade the more popular trees recently to make them CEFR compliant and added grammar lessons to some, I'm doing Spanish and it's very good, tons of immersion stuff, audio lessons, stories, podcasts.
