This is a long post about someone who has very obviously just gotten into politics. It is good for people to try and see how to impart change. Here are some constructive critical questions for the author: 1. Why no mention of No Tech For Ap

Not to be rude, but this post just puts unwarranted faith in "science" and "experts". For example, experts apparently collect evidence in "an unbiased, objective manner". What? Says who. Those "methods hav

the point is the people in power represent a limited set of elites that are not invested in the best interests of anyone but themselves

A far more interesting article with less focus on discounting feminist concepts out of hand

If you could anywhere it'd be the east side (think starting in NY), itd be a lot easier if coaches and trains were allowed though.

I wish I could tell you, there is something to be said about 1) being live with no recording so records of dissent dont exist and 2) like the other commenter said slow government response I suspect it's a lot of small things and social

Probably true, but the point was that the daughter was capable of quick multiplication, the age of the dog was..decidedly a minor detail.

Some things just need more memorization than others. I used a ton of flashcards for Latin vocab and learning the farsi alphabet but almost none for my CS classes (used notes for those).

I don't think that's what they meant but it's a good point! I've seen embedded developers write some...truly terrifying code though.

Communism is not built on equality really "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" conveys inequalities everywhere.

Yeah the serif/sans distinction is definitely down the list compared to font size, column width, line spacing, contrast, etc. I just brought it up because I consider it part of the "LaTeX" style. But you're right...somet

I think it depends on the language and background. Learning Go is maybe a 20 hour enterprise. Learning C++ if you're coming from Rust? Maybe 20-40 hours, not sure. Learning C++ coming from Python? Well....buckle up. Same in reverse btw

I also forgot to mention that for most people at low dpi (I would say 300dpi and lower, but I personally wouldn't use a serif till ~1500dpi) sans-serifs are more legible. This blog post has some good information: https://gen

This is maybe the third time I've seen the concept of a LaTeX styled html page and it never seems like a good idea to me. I'm all for math typesetting in HTML, but I no longer "believe" in justification, especially not b

This as of now also applies to most Rust UI libs, hence why I don't use them. At least in that community each UI kit has an 'accessibility' issue though so hopefully improvements to come.

Very interesting, I didn't know pkgsrc could be used on Linux, I'll check it out. In general the only things keeping me from BSD are non free apps like Zoom so the next best thing is to BSDify my systems.
