Hah I actually just had 5.6 sol upgrade my old heavily modified IPB3 forum’s code to run on modern php8/mariadb11, backported cve fixes, gave it strict CSP etc and have it running seemingly securely exposed to the internet.

I compared pings recently and was getting like 200-300ms to the closest mullvad DoH server. Quad9 has an adblocking DoH DNS with decent latency.

Yeah I have a main $100 sub, a bunch of $20 subs and sometimes another simultaneous $100 when a really major model happens to drop. For the most part it seems better to have multiple subscriptions than a single $200-$300 one to stay more in

Totally. It's only inconvenient for a total rounding error of a customer who's trying to stream games from cloud or sunshine/moonlight, where it can cost up to 4ms of latency for higher bitrates.

I'm not familiar with economics of chips, but I presume the SRAM on the wafer is less dense than HBM so it might be eating into its cost efficiency?

SwiftUI’s diffing is such a mess that I wouldn’t be surprised if fine-grained reactivity of a toolkit binding UIKit like this worked better. Do you have decent support for long lists via UITableView yet? Edit: it seems so!
