Thanks for your rant. I am hopeful for Reddit's future because of its community. I've been using Reddit for over 8 years, through many transitions, and I still go to it everyday to read and interact with many friends I've met

Hopefully Open Graph will get a lot more mature. Right now it has a lot of bugs and there's not a lot of documented examples of best practices.

I agree that past is not always an indicator of future. But in this case, doing exactly the same things and expecting a different outcome is insanity defined.

The comment that makes me think: Spec'ing HTTP 2.0 has been such a clusterfuck. According to Mark in an email to the HTTP Working Group, as of January 2012 they were "past the four year mark (on a WG that was originally chartered for a year

Yeah, I stopped using DM for most things, and any time I do DM I make a mental note that it will probably be public.
