At least you can walk in with a phone reset to factory settings, and once you cross the border restore from the cloud (or home server like me). In UK you can be stopped walking on the sidewalk. It's much more dystopian in UK.

As long as useful idiots keep circling the block in queues to buy the next version of their apple product, nothing will change. This will only get shittier.

Would this be a news if it was not owned by FBI director? Do we really expect the FBI director to be responsible for this? He probably outsourced it to some company. This is an inflammatory headline.

Me too, but the question is how do we prove it's human made? Maybe we need a certification authority. Anybody can claim "human written code" and people like you will drool all over a clanker written code.

The most important Monopoly that needs broken today is apple's stranglehold on innovation. The app store needs to be really open, not half baked, still in full apple control, EU bullshit that's happening right now.

Have never developed on/for apple platform, so I have no clue. Apple makes setting up development so hard, I wonder what motivates developers to jump through all the hoops.

It's just a step. I will eventually move to coolify, just haven't had time to set it up. But the problem stands: coolify also doesn't connect to forgejo.

It's still not too late. With the help of Claude et. al, we can make a truly open mobile OS from ground up. We can make an app translater that can translate Android and iOS apps to our OS. We can make deals with manufacturers to start

I installed forgejo on my home server and never looked back. The only problem I face is when hosting an app on DigitalOcean App platform, or vercel etc. They only connect to GitHub.

First IE, now Chrome. What gets into these companies heads once they get biggest market share? And the people working for these companies. How do you sleep at night bro?
