I think there’s a lot of truth to this, and it’s worth reflecting on. Trump survived an assassination attempt, a series of questionably motivated legal challenges, and then leaned into showing up for hostile interviews during the campaign.

I'm a republican who is also opposed to public healthcare and I understand it isn't communism. Most of the other republicans with whom I interact also understand that. Not all republicans engage in false equivalence.
