Watson is a brand name, that's all. If you want to dig under the covers what most people think of as Watson, i.e. the sentient being kept locked in the basement it is just marketing. The actual "Watson" services are competent

Watson Services are very much a product you buy/subscribe to. Just like the Machine Learning services you get from Microsoft or Google. You can use them pretty easily with absolutely no consulting at all.
