Have been using Jellyfin on my synology server for the past 2 years. It's a dream, but you do need to name your files/directories per their naming convention: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/

I use "DS Audio", the web/native app that comes with Synology home NAS. It works pretty well. Probably not as well as Plex or Jellyfin. Has anyone used both?

I think you're being over sensationalist. In today's world I think it's healthy to assume someone is trying to reach for the truth instead of assuming malice. She's trying to present her findings and asking for feedback.
