Just wanted to say that in linux you have extended attributes on files, check the man page on chattr. I believe the -i option makes files immutable. I picked this little trick up watching a red team discuss how they set themselves persisten

Can concur with a personal anecdote. Got lost a few years ago on my motorcycle and was utterly confused when I passed the open gate into the grounds not aware that it was even a military base until I saw all the following signage.

Ah, I have a friend in a downtown condo who uses their 1Gbps service and he hasn't had any issues with them. Sadly I'm in an older town house so my options are Bell or Rogers, neither of which can offer symmetric fiber as the cost
