I would recommend going to live concerts. Classical music is about emotional communication between humans. A live performance is a much richer human communication channel than a recording. The moment in time is unique and not reproducible.

Tinkering with free software is not necessarily a hobby. You are actually learning from it a lot about technology. This understanding and skills (fixing problems, debugging, patience, reading docs) can be converted to money.

I prefer to not use a feature instead of using a hostile one. In my more than 20 years of journey in the free software world, I never came across a user hostile free software. This is in stark contrast to proprietary software I tried.

I self host my personal mail server with stock debian / exim / spamasssasin without any tweaking on a tiny A20 Olimex Server. Spam filtering works better than that of the professional posteo.de service which I also use for a club.
