I run desktop linux via postmarketOS on a Lenovo Duet 5 (Snapdragon 7c). It isn't the most powerful device and the webcam doesn't work but other than that it works well and battery life is excellent

Did you consider using sway[1] as your window manager? From what I understand wayland is better equipped to deal with modern displays and touchscreens. (although it is still more complex to do certain tasks like screensharing). [1] https:&

Do you have your passwords in plain text in your home folder? It seems like Pass ( https://www.passwordstore.org/ ) would solve this problem in a more secure fashion.

Thank you for posting this, I also volunteer in a local school running a Code Club. I would be very much interested to know how you handle differences in age group. I sometimes struggle as the group ranges in age from 4/5 yo to 11 yo.
