The search results have gotten noticably worse in the last year. When a Wikipedia/encyclopedia article is what I'm looking for, why is Google showing articles? Wikipedia used to be the top result.

Functionally I see many non math people struggle to understand rate of change. I find integrals useful. Also I see my computer science pals have a lack of faith in math. I don't understand why.

Not sure your area, but unskilled labor goes for 15$/hr in metro Detroit. You cannot get people to show up for less than that. Source, wife owns a business and that's going rate to answer phones.
