I guess in printed material it’s more space efficient, which is why it has historically been used. Justified text can be made look nice but it requires hyphenation and a non-greedy linebreaking algorithm, which unfortunately is not implemen

Same. When I’m visiting my parents, I sometimes check the Screen Time stats on my dad’s iPad. Consistently, he’s spending around 30 hours per week on YouTube. It has pretty much replaced TV for him.
