I think this is driven by the market itself and the way cloud promotes their product. After fully in cloud for sometimes, we’re moving to hybrid solutions. The upper management happy with costs and the cloud engineer had new toy's

We're on the same boat. Since a lot of people complaint, they allow Linux, but only under VM (VirtualBox), still better than no Linux at all.

Last month, I build my server using $5 server digitalocean/Linode a like. Everything perfectly fine, to get better delivery use 3rd party. From cost perspective, I’m happy because don’t need to pay google $50/m.

I keep using F32 because it still supported until F34 out and skip F33 because too lazy, nothing technical. Just do it and let see what happen :). Make sure 100% your backup working

I don't think this prevent this exploit because it mergered by bot (BrewTestBot in this case). An this exploit still working if any of contributor create malicious update

I've similiar setup except Mac, setup VNC on Linux and RDP on Windows, so I only need to open single laptop + external monitor. I use Mac on virtualbox to build the iOS and some as gitlab runner

for the domain problem I use wildcard dns. for IP I dont think lets encrypt logging the ip address publicly (let me know if I wrong about it), since I use dns-01 I can generate SSL from anywhere.
